Larry Sullivan - was in Chicago for a conference when he received a message from his son that there had been a fire at the GM building in Torrington. The fire was contained in the service area, but there nonetheless was over a million dollars in damages caused by smoke and heat. Repair work is already underway. Larry believes "things will end up better than before."
Larry Haber - two weekends ago, Larry was in Charlottesville, VA for his cousin's birthday. He explained his cousin's wife works for a wine distributor, so it was a "wonderful weekend." The Young Adult Services program Larry directs at the Institute of Living was named National Program of The Year.

From Sue Budde
Raffle items for the Golf Tournament are coming in, although not at the speed I'm used to from the past few years. I'm asking all Rotarians to reach out to their contacts, friends, and associates... If everyone could secure just one item, we'd be in great shape! Items like gift certificates, gift baskets, tickets to events, and even items like handbags, jewelry, electronics, etc. are just a few ideas for raffle items. We'd also love to get some golf items, so if anyone knows where to get them, please reach out. Letters soliciting donations from all past donors went out in early June, so if you have any questions about the status of a donor you've solicited in the past, please feel free to reach out to me.
From Ike Eickenhorst
I'm looking for speakers for the coming months.
Please give some thought to finding interesting topics and programs. Presentations about hobbies, groups you belong to etc. would be great. Other than selling or marketing a product or service and Rollie's fish pictures, we are very open to most subjects. Steve Roberto's wine tasting program is a good example of something a little different than our norm, but a really well received program.
Feel free to email me with any questions you might have.
