We had a lot of happy folks and collected $62 Happy Dollars
Gary Miller acknowledged Dale’s birthday and talked about playing Words with Friends with him. He is also back from Louisiana which still has a lot of devastation from their recent flooding and how he and his wife spent the time helping his son’s family recover by pitching in on the house repairs.
Paul Mikkelson gave a happy dollar to acknowledge the UConn Women’s Basketball team and a negative dollar for the men’s. He also acknowledged Salin for her work on the newsletter.
Bill Barnes gave a happy dollar for surviving 11 days taking care of his teenage grandchildren at their house. He had fun ringing the bell with Salin and acknowledging Linda and Nancy at the other door. He also let the club know that he will be a speaker this Sunday at the church that he was pastor of fro a decade and left 39 years ago. Bill also promoted upcoming performances of the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra. See

Salin Low enjoyed ringing the bell with Bill. He also acknowledged Paul and the community service committee for all the work that they were doing.
Dale Bronson enjoyed meeting Salin and Bill while they were bell ringing. He also reported going to DMV and surviving.
Devra Sisitsky spoke about the first New England Makers Summit in partnership with the Univ of Hartford, which had over 250 people in attendance. Thanked Gary Miller and Gary Hyde for attending. She will be running her first fundraiser at the Colt Building “Moonshine Under the Dome.”
Paul Nelson just returned from a business conference in Cancun with his wife and they returned for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Kurt Lux who is a Minnesota Viking fan is now rooting for them to lose in order to get better draft choices.
Mike Sherber is back from being with his wife in the Dominican Republic on business. He made up a meeting a Santo Domingo club.
Gary Hyde acknowledged the bell ringers and reported that we had collected 1259.11.
Don Rossler gave his last donation for no shave November. He has received a dispensation from his wife, after Thanksgiving compliments, that he can keep the beard through December.
Steve Roberto is celebrating a trifecta of goals achieved. 6 years ago to obtain an investment, sell his business, and find a company to work for. He has found his investment in Collinsville, sold his business, and found a position with Allstate.
Art Schaller thanked all those who purchased wreaths.

Community Service and the Past Presidents nominating group met after the meeting.
Community Service Opportunity
Nancy Nation announced that community service wants the club to help one of our own Annemary and her family which is comprised of three kids. Annemary is a single mother, working full-time and going to school full-time. An e-mail was sent to the club with specifics.
President Don Bonner requested and received member approval for his plan to begin collecting member donations on 12/3 and 12/10 for A.O.F employee Christmas gifts from the club. We all appreciate the support, often above and beyond, that we receive from these fine people. We expect to present the gifts to the staff on 12/23 and also intend to present a Paul Harris to Sean. It's a surprise, so please keep this on the down low!
12/6: Pub Night
The December Pub Night will be at the Local Grill in Riverdale Farms in Avon. The camaraderie generally takes place from 5:00 to 7:00. It's a time to visit in a relaxed setting.
12/7: Canton Chamber of Commerce Holiday Dinner
The Canton Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Holiday Dinner at the Canton Historical Museum among a gallery of homemade, artistically decorated Christmas trees. Talk to Gary Miller to learn more.
12/10: Breakfast with Santa
BWS will be held on Saturday, December 10th at Canton Community Center. Please contact Diana Boorjian to sign up. The more the merrier.

President Don mentioned new membership rules for Rotary: 1. Vocational classifications will no longer be used to restrict membership. 2. Anybody with a useful job can be a member, not just "business leaders." These rules are meant to open Rotary membership to any individual who wants to be of service in the community.
