Phil Worley - spent four days in Washington, DC. He and Kathleen saw the pandas at the National Zoo and toured the Holocaust Museum. Their granddaughter began an internship with Senator Richard Blumenthal.
Robin DiNicola - has spent the morning training next year's Sergeant-At-Arms, Mike Mezheritsky. Mike officially assumes his post at the July 3 meeting.
Gary Roman - and his wife Angie celebrated their 39th anniversary yesterday. They dined at Avon Old Farms. Last weekend, Gary was in Cooperstown, NY. Hall of Fame pitcher Goose Gossage was the main speaker at Gary's event and was involved in all of the activities all weekend long, including a softball game.
Larry Haber - while in Florida last weekend for his sister-in-law's 75th birthday. Larry and Linda did all manner of "touristy" things and enjoyed it a lot. Their granddaughter's dance recital takes place tomorrow.
Evan Cooper - spent three nights in Newport, Rhode Island last weekend. Her oldest son is graduating from his Residency in Philadelphia and is going into the Navy. Next Friday, (June 19) is Evan and Ross' anniversary. Evan stated "it will be the last time the family is together for a while."
Linda Pendergast - shared that her daughter was getting married the next day, June 13. Her daughter from Indiana is in town for the wedding. Some of Linda's grandkids will be here for a month.
Kevin Witkos - told a joke involving poof of purchase regulations.
Larry Sullivan - has a party coming up over the weekend to celebrate two milestones,the 50th anniversary of his college graduation and his son's 50th birthday. Seventy-five people are expected to attend.
Gary Miller - was presiding over the meeting because President Salin Low was in Chicago. Gary is looking forward to being President. His term officially begins July 1st.
Allan Nasson - will be traveling to Utah for his son's wedding.
Susan Budde - stepson Ryan is back in town after after his emergency rescue from the Appalachian Trail in Western Pennsylvania. Stepdaughter Jessica is also in town. This is the first time in 8 years that both "kids" are at home at the same time.

Gary Miller - stated that, including spouses, over 60 people have signed up for the President's Dinner on June 19. The new board will be formally installed. Paul Harris Awards will be given out. The District Governor will present an award to Rollie Sterrett. Several Special Recognition Awards are planned.
Members were able to sign up at the June 12th meeting, but that was the absolute deadline.

Nancy Nation - assured members that the greens at the Country Club are "looking better." Three ads were turned in at today's meeting. Only four golfers have been signed up to play. Nancy avowed "we have to get going." She asked everyone to remember that this year's rallying cry is "sooner than later." Nancy added that "sooner than later" makes for a better looking booklet" because the Ad Committee won't have to throw together an 11th Hour Special.
Nancy sends this message: "I will be bringing a large purse to the President's Dinner so that I can receive ad cards and checks!!"
Pub Night
Phil Worley - explained that the next Pub Night will be on Tuesday, July 7, from 4 to 7 at the Crown & Hammer in Collinsville. The August Pub Night will be on Wednesday, August 5 at Avon Old Farms Hotel. Moving forward, Pub Night will be held one month on Tuesday and the next month on Wednesday, and the day of the week will keep alternating thereafter. This scheduling protocol should make it so the same members aren't faced with the same scheduling conflicts month after month. As always, attendance at Pub Night will entitle members to a make-up in the Club's records.
