Annemary Gordon was born and grew up in Ghana, West Africa, where she also had her formal education and completed her undergraduate studies. In June of 2014, Annemary migrated to the United States and settled in Avon with her three children - Elijah and Brianna, twins age fifteen, who attend Avon High School and Geri, age fourteen, who attends Avon Middle School.

Annemary graduated May 2018 from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford with a Master of Social Work degree and is currently working for the United States Postal Service in Asset Management as an Inventory Control Specialist. She looks forward to making a change very soon and pursuing her career as a social worker, so that she can have a positive impact on the lives of others within her sphere of life.

In her spare time, “when not being a mum to three demanding teenagers” or committing to other engagements, Annemary enjoys taking nature walks, reading and swimming. Annemary is glad to be a member of Rotary where it’s motto “Service above Self” reflects one of her own ideals of achieving one’s worth by serving humanity.
